TryRide

Privacy & data protection

When you book a test ride through TryRide, the dealership you book with ("the Dealer") decides how your data is used and is the data controller. TryRide runs the booking platform on the Dealer's behalf as a data processor, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

What we collect

Why we use it

The legal basis is your consent and the performance of the rental contract. We do not use your data for profiling or automated decision-making (Art. 22 GDPR), and we never sell it.

How long we keep it

We keep your booking data for as long as it's needed for your test ride and the rental contract, and to meet legal obligations such as accounting and tax rules. You can ask the Dealer to delete your data at any time — see Your rights.

How it's protected

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Driving-licence and identity numbers are additionally encrypted at rest. If you use the in-app camera to scan a document, the image is processed on your device only — it is never uploaded or stored.

Who else processes it

To run the service we use a small number of vetted processors, each bound by a data-processing agreement:

Where a processor operates outside the EEA, appropriate safeguards are in place.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its processing, request portability, or withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact the Dealer using the details on their page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in the Czech Republic, the Office for Personal Data Protection / ÚOOÚ).

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and remember your language. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
